FotoFácil (es.iaen.fotofacil) · Last updated: 2026-10-28

FotoFácil does not collect, store on any server, share or sell personal data.

  • No internet access. The app does not request the INTERNET permission, so it technically cannot send data anywhere.
  • No ads, no analytics, no accounts. The app contains no advertising or tracking code. Its only library is Media3 (by Google), used to play, edit and encode videos on the phone.
  • Permissions. The app never asks you for a permission. The Media3 library declares two permissions that Android grants at install time without asking: view network connections (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) and prevent the phone from sleeping (WAKE_LOCK). Neither of them lets the app send anything: without INTERNET it has no connection.
  • Choosing photos and videos. You pick them with the Android photo picker (the file picker on phones that do not have it), or you open them from another app with Edit with or Share. The app only receives the file you chose; it cannot see the rest of your gallery and has no storage permission.
  • Editing happens on your phone. Photos and videos are processed on the device itself. The original file is never modified.
  • Saving. Only when you press Save is an edited copy stored on your phone: photos in Pictures/FotoFacil and videos in Movies/FotoFacil (through Android's MediaStore). While a video is being exported, a temporary file is written to the app's private cache; it is deleted as soon as the copy is in your gallery, or if the export is cancelled or fails.
  • Sharing. A photo or video only goes to another app if you press Share and choose that app. If another app opened FotoFácil with Edit with, FotoFácil gives that app the edited copy you saved.
  • Nothing else is stored. The app keeps no history, settings or list of your files, and Android backup is turned off for it.
  • Links. The links on the About screen open in your browser.
  • Children. The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
