Privacy policy

StikerMaker does not collect, store on any server, share or sell personal data.

• No internet access. The app does not request the INTERNET permission, so it technically cannot send data anywhere.
• No ads, no analytics, no third-party libraries. The app contains no advertising or tracking code. It uses only the Android framework.
• No permissions. The app does not ask for any permission.
• Choosing photos. You pick a photo with the Android photo picker (the file picker on phones that do not have it), or you share it to StikerMaker from another app. The app only receives the photo you chose; it cannot see the rest of your gallery.
• What is stored, and where. The packs you create are saved in the app's private storage on your phone: the pack name and author you type, each finished sticker (a 512×512 WebP image), its emojis and the pack icon. Your original photos are not copied; only the finished sticker is saved. The app also remembers the last author name you typed, to fill it in for your next pack. Deleting a pack deletes its files, and uninstalling the app deletes everything. Android backup is turned off for the app.
• WhatsApp. When you press Add to WhatsApp, WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business opens and asks you to confirm. After that, WhatsApp reads the pack directly on your phone through the app's sticker provider, which is protected by WhatsApp's permission com.whatsapp.sticker.READ: pack name, author, icon, stickers and their emojis. When you change a pack that is already added, WhatsApp reads it again. Nothing goes through the internet on StikerMaker's side. What happens to the stickers inside WhatsApp (for example when you send them in a chat) is covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
• Checking whether a pack is in WhatsApp. To show whether a pack has already been added, the app checks on the phone whether WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business are installed and asks them whether the pack (identified by its internal code) is added. No other information is exchanged.
• Links. The links on the About screen open in your browser.
• Children. The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
