Privacy policy

Sonómetro (es.iaen.sonometro) · Last updated: 2026-10-28

Sonómetro does not collect, store on any server, share or sell personal data.

  • No internet access. The app does not request the INTERNET permission, so it technically cannot send data anywhere.
  • No ads, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. The app contains no advertising or tracking code and no external libraries. It uses only the Android framework.
  • Microphone. It is the only permission the app asks for, to measure the sound level. While the app is open on screen, it reads the microphone in short blocks, calculates the levels (in dB) and the spectrum in memory and discards the sound straight away. The app never records audio, never saves it to a file and never sends it anywhere. Measuring stops as soon as you leave the app: it does not listen in the background.
  • Measurement results. The figures on screen (current level, Leq, minimum, maximum, peak, the 60-second history and the spectrum) are kept in memory only while the app is running. They are not saved and disappear when you press Reset or the app is closed.
  • Settings. The frequency weighting, the time response, your calibration adjustment and whether the microphone permission has already been requested are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app. Android backup is turned off for this app, so they are not copied to your Google account either.
  • Screen. The app keeps the screen on while it is measuring. It has no other effect on your phone.
  • Links. The links on the About screen open in your browser.
  • Children. The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
  • Changes. If the app ever handles data differently, this policy will be updated and its date changed.
