CaptureCam (es.iaen.capturecam) · Last updated: 2026-10-11
CaptureCam does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal data.
- No internet access. The app does not request the
INTERNET permission, so it technically cannot send data anywhere.
- No ads, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. The app contains no advertising or tracking code.
- Your recordings stay on your device. Videos are saved in your phone's Movies/CaptureCam or Downloads/CaptureCam folder, chosen by you. They are only shared with another app if you choose to share them.
- Screen capture. Recording starts only after you accept Android's system screen-capture prompt, and a notification is shown for as long as it runs.
- Audio. The sound played by the apps you record is captured by default (you can turn it off with "Record app sound"), and the microphone only if you enable "Record microphone". Android asks for the microphone permission for the app sound too, although the microphone is not used for it. Audio is stored only inside the video file.
- Notifications are used to show recording controls and to tell you when a video has been saved.
- "Display over other apps" is optional and only used to draw the on-screen 3-2-1 countdown.
- Children. The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Settings (resolution, quality, folder, etc.) are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
